“From Trail Riders to Trail Blazers: Biking Enthusiasts Become Business Partners.”

In 1993, Devin DeBoer and John Heyerman started riding together on their daily commute to classes at Grand Valley State University. They graduated from GVSU’s physical therapy program in 1996 and went to work as staff PT’s for general hospitals. Several years and a few bike races later, they both ended up managing their departments, and experienced first hand the value that flexible, temporary staffing can contribute to any facility.  After 15 years in the field, they decided to start a business providing physical therapy staffing and recruiting services for therapists and therapy providers. Since then, myPTsolutions has taken off and become quite a ride of its own!

MEET OUR OWNERS

John manages the office and works part time in the field.

Before starting myPTsolutions, John spent 11 years, working and managing the therapy department of a small regional hospital. John graduated from Hope College in 1991, with a degree in business, and then went on to earn his Masters in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 1996. When he’s not in the office, John works in the field providing home health physical therapy.  John and his wife have three children. They enjoy playing soccer, downhill skiing, and hiking. John’s latest interest has been coaching for his children’s various sport teams.

Devin has 8 years of experience working as a contract physical therapist.

Devin has worked in almost every physical therapy setting -(except pediatrics)! He’s been rotating between inpatient, outpatient, and sub acute settings since 2007. His wealth of experience comes in handy in providing advice for myPTsolution’s Therapy Team Members.  His favorite thing about physical therapy is helping senior citizens gain the strength they need to move back home. Devin earned his degrees from Calvin College and Grand Valley State University. He has specialized in a Diabetic Foot Care, including Total Contact Casting, and participated in various NAIMOT Courses. When he’s not riding his bike, Devin can be found hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
